“The Études” is a project that I started during the early days of Covid, when things were quiet and time was slow. I began to spend more time by the piano and developed new practice routines. I played with a musical idea, a rhythmic pattern or even just a single note, turning them into a proper composition. Over time, these simple concepts eventually grew into a dozen pieces covering all twelve keys.

In the summer of 2023, I finally completed the full set of Études, arranged for different combinations of instruments, from a trio to a sextet, each with its own story to tell.

This project captures the changes of a musician in solitary: how one navigates life’s challenges and learns to perfect their craft in a disciplined manner.
