The details of the soundtrack album for the western epic Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 1 have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, Iron Man 2, The Jungle Book, Elf, Draft Day, The Princess Diaries, Hocus Pocus) and performed by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 28 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Horizon: An American Saga is co-written and directed by Kevin Costner and stars Costner himself, Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington, Jena Malone, Tatanka Means, Owen Crow Shoe, Ella Hunt, Danny Huston, Tim Guinee, Colin Cunningham, Scott Haze, Tom Payne, Michael Rooker, Abbey Lee, Will Patton, Luke Wilson, Isabelle Fuhrman, Jamie Campbell Bower, Angus Macfadyen, Glynn Turman and Giovanni Ribisi. The movie spans the four years of the Civil War, from 1861 to 1865, and explores the lure of the Old West and how it was won – and lost – through the blood, sweat and tears of many. The first part of the western saga premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and will be released in theaters nationwide on June 28 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
