We re-issue here the alternate version of the Brahms sonatas made by Jacqueline du Pré with Daniel Barenboim in 1968, coupled with her iconic recording of Bruch’s Kol Nidrei. These recordings, initially made for a documentary film by Christopher Nupen, were only commercially released in 2002. It is said that Kol Nidrei was one of the recordings Jacqueline loved most, and she used to listen intensely in her final days.
