Prince Igor: Danses Polovtsiennes (Arr. for Brass Ensemble by Georges Moreau) Ten years of chamber music, concerts, tours and encounters. Founded in 2015 at the Conservatoire National de Musique de Danse de Paris, winner of the prestigious Osaka International Competition and supported by the musical patronage of Caisse des dépôts, the Local Brass Quintet has established itself as one of the most dynamic ensembles of its generation. Since its creation, the ensemble has cultivated the art of sharing through a made-to-measure repertoire comprising some twenty transcriptions, ten premieres by six different composers and emblematic works for the group. Over the years, the ensemble has built its identity around a collective sound, a strong commitment to the stage and a lively relationship with the audience. This third album, Mouvement(s), has been conceived as a real concert programme, with everything that drives us: contemporary creations, transcriptions chiselled by our partner Gabriel Philippot, and a wide variety of styles, periods and colours. |
