In 1806, the "Razumovsky" quartets were a revolution. In a moment of life when Beethoven confesses to his brothers to have thought of ending his life, handicapped by his nascent deafness, his opus 59 resonates in turn like a drive for life, a revolt, a resurrection. Beethoven told his outraged musicians: "This music I don’t write for you, this music is for the future." Free of any need for the approval of his music by the company, the Beethovenian genius is revealed to the open. The Elmire Quartet, the first string quartet signed by the Scala Music label, devotes this double album "Beyond The Limits" to the body of legend that is the tryptic Razumovsky
