The series, created by Justin Koch and Matthias Greving, centers on the oil industry and the human dramas intertwined with it. The score reflects the intense atmosphere of the struggle for power and resources, combining Zimmer’s signature large-scale orchestral style with Igudesman’s expressive and technical violin performance. Key tracks, such as “In Oil We Trust,” feature opera singer Ekaterina Shelehova, whose vocals add tragedy and epic scale to the sound.
